After Acceptance

Upon notification of acceptance into Galen School of Nursing, the enrollment process begins. Details of the steps below are outlined within the materials each student receives by mail, in their acceptance packet.

If requesting transfer credits, submit transcripts from other schools/colleges. (See Transfer Credits section.)

If applicable, schedule an advisory meeting at Galen, to determine course selection.

Schedule an appointment with a Galen Financial Planning Coordinator to sign the enrollment agreement and arrange for payment of tuition and fees.

Attend orientation prior to the start of class. Details will also be included in acceptance packet.
Clinical Attendance Requirements
Clinical experiences are an important part of your Galen School of Nursing education, because you will be learning nursing skills in a real-world healthcare setting. To be admitted to clinicals, applicants must:

Provide evidence of good physical and mental health. Submit medical packet that includes physical examination and immunization record documentation to the office of the registrar. Immunization requirements are outlined and forms included in the acceptance packet received by mail.

Provide proof of certification of CPR (must be American Heart Association Health Care Provider Course, BSL). Galen will provide information on available classes if needed.

Satisfactorily pass a criminal background screening prior to the start of classes. The criminal background screening fee is non-refundable.

Provide proof of health insurance.
Galen School of Nursing is part of the Galen College of Nursing system.
