Focused solely on nursing education for students who want to become Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses, Galen College of Nursing prepares students to become nurses with the expertise to provide direct care to patients in a variety of settings and who care deeply about helping others.

As one of the largest private nursing schools in the U.S., Galen helps its students become high quality healthcare providers ready to enter the workforce as professional nurses. And when they graduate, they will be well prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).


Galen's Louisville campus offers the following nursing programs:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing Degree
    (Practical Nurse Program + LPN to RN Bridge Program)
  • LPN to RN Bridge Program
    • Full-time days, 15-18 months
  • Practical Nursing Program (LPN)
    • Full-time days, 12 months, or
    • Part-time evenings, 21 months

To be considered for acceptance into Galen’s Louisville campus nursing degree programs, an applicant must meet:
