Application

At Galen College, personal attention is one of the most important parts of your education. Our personalized approach begins with the application process.

We encourage prospective students to begin their relationship with us by calling 502-410-6200 to schedule an appointment with an Admissions Representative. Our personalized approach allows us to get to know you and for you to have a firsthand experience in our educational setting and to tour the Galen Center which is a state-of-the-art nursing education facility.

Following are steps outlining the application process:

  • Meet with an admissions representative.
  • Submit an application accompanied by the application fee of $35.
  • Provide ACT (minimum score 19) or SAT (minimum composite score of 1350For SAT tests taken prior to March 2005, the composite score must be at least 920. ACT/SAT scores must be within the last five years.
  • Or, register for and schedule to take an entrance examination administered at Galen which requires a composite score of 162 or greater. 
  • Provide an official high school transcript or proof of GED test score (Download Transcript Request Letter).

Applicants will be considered for admission without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, national origin, age or veteran status. Disabilities will be considered only to the extent to which they may prevent the applicant from acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to complete the program for graduation.
