Vision
It is Galen College of Nursing’s mission to solely focus on providing a diverse student population with prelicensure nursing educational programs of unsurpassed quality and meeting the needs of healthcare providers across the United States.
Philosophy
Galen will be guided by the following beliefs:
- Continuous progress requires frequent, quantifiable measurement against widely accepted key metrics of outcomes required from nursing education programs and nursing employers.
- Intensive educational programs must be designed, developed, and taught to meet the needs of a diverse student population, ensuring the knowledge and critical thinking skills required for nursing licensure, while including strong clinical components that instill competency and confidence for direct patient care.
- Dedicated faculty solely engaged in the education of students, a responsive supporting staff, in combination with superiorly designed and equipped learning environments, with leading edge technology, enable positive student outcomes.
- Developing partnerships directly with healthcare providers in the communities we serve will best meet their needs and secure their engagement in the educational process.
- Learning is a life-long process. We are committed to assisting students and faculty to develop self-directed attitudes and strategies to improve competencies within the rapidly changing technological nursing practice environment, and in continuing their development as nurses, educators, and responsible citizens.
